Warm congratulations to the Graduates of Fall 2025!
The Fall 2025 Graduation Ceremony took place on August 29th. iCLA’s graduates gathered with their family and friends in the Memorial Hall to celebrate the momentous milestone.

The Fall 2025 Graduation Ceremony opened with the conferment of diplomas to the graduates of the Faculty of Business Administration, Faculty of Law, Faculty of Sport Science, Graduate School of Social Science, and the International College of Liberal Arts. Following that, President Takako Aoyama addressed the graduating class with a commencement speech bilingually, in Japanese and English. She encouraged students to reflect on their time at university, the classmates and faculty members they have met, and to appreciate the day-to-day student life they have led. The President acknowledged international students who came to study in a foreign culture, and that she is proud of their achievements and their resilience to overcome challenges. President Aoyama urged students to remember that learning is a lifelong journey, and that their adaptability is key to their future success.
After the conclusion of the commencement speech, Dean’s Awards were then presented by the Dean of the Faculty to the graduates who had made significant contributions to the campus community.

The Valedictorian of iCLA’s graduating class delivered the graduate speech. In her speech, she looked back at the uncertainty during the COVID-19 pandemic, when border restrictions and online classes shaped the experiences at the start of their student life. Congratulating her fellow graduates on reaching this milestone, she encouraged them to take a moment to be thankful to those who have helped to make this achievement possible and to take time to think about the journey up to this point.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held in the iCLA lobby, where graduates and their loved ones relaxed and celebrated over refreshments.
As iCLA’s Fall 2025 graduates set out on the next stage of their lives, we wish them continued success and hope they will carry forward the spirit of iCLA, making their mark on the world and inspiring others to make positive change. iCLA also extends its warm congratulations to those graduates who could not attend the ceremony.
Wishing Graduates of Fall 2025 all the best in the next chapter of your journey!
