iCLA Students Win Top Places in the Yamanashi International Student Speech Contest

Two iCLA students who participated in the 22nd Yamanashi International Student Speech Contest hold up their certificates for winning.

Two iCLA students competed in the annual Yamanashi International Student Speech Contest hosted by The Consortium of Universities in Yamanashi.

First-year student Zaineb from Morocco won First Place and Third-year student Nehal from India won Second Place! The iCLA students beat out eleven other contestants.

The contest invites Yamanashi’s foreign students studying at universities and junior colleges across the prefecture to deliver a speech in Japanese under a specific topic. The speeches must be a maximum of five minutes.

The topic of the 22nd Yamanashi International Student Speech Contest was “つらぬきたい自分らしさ”(My true self that I wish to live by). The contest took place on December 6th at the Yamanashi Prefectural Library.
