Dear Graduating Class of March 2020 and Parents/Guardians,
After heavy consideration of the recent outbreak of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) within Japan and our efforts to prevent the risk of infection, Yamanashi Gakuin University has decided to cancel the March 2020 Yamanashi Gakuin University Graduation Ceremony (university-wide).
It is with great regret and sadness to announce this cancellation, as we can no longer celebrate this milestone event with our students and guests as we had hoped. However, we put the safety of everyone first and foremost. It is not possible to implement preventive measures that can eliminate the risk of infection. Therefore, the university has made the difficult decision to cancel the March 2020 Yamanashi Gakuin University Graduation Ceremony (university-wide).
The awarding of diplomas will still be held at iCLA as detailed below; however, we request that parents/guardians refrain from attending (we are not prohibiting visits to the university campus).
We sincerely appreciate your kindness and understanding.
